Key Personnel

Gary Babich, Senior Design Consultant

Mr. Babich has over thirty years of experience in the irrigation industry. Gary attended Florida Southern College (Lakeland, Florida) where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in 1978. In addition, Mr. Babich has received several certificates of design from schools and seminars held by the major manufacturers in the irrigation industry, such as Toro, Hunter, Netafim and Rain Bird. Mr. Babich has attended various computer training courses related to AutoCAD design and GPS mapping. Gary’s consulting background has included developing design procedures, master planning, cost analysis and supervising/training staff.

Jay P. Plucinak, Project Designer

Mr. Plucinak is a qualified and dedicated irrigation professional with over 25 years of experience. Jay’s educational background includes studies in: AutoCAD and architectural drafting (Minneapolis Drafting School, Minneapolis, Minnesota), Certification in Geographic Information Systems and Google Earth Pro software (University of South Florida St Petersburg, FL), Solid Works 3D modeling CAD software and AutoCAD/Eagle Point software training seminars. Mr. Plucinak has instructed students in irrigation design courses at the University of Minnesota, Toro University (Minnesota) and St. Petersburg Jr. College (St. Petersburg, Florida). Mr. Plucinak was a member of the Minnesota Nurserymen and Landscape Association, Minneapolis, Minnesota. As a member Jay helped establish the irrigation standards for the state of Minnesota.

Mr. Plucinak has received certification for:

  1. Eagle Point irrigation design software (2000 through 2010).
  2. Toro University Large Turf Certification including computer control systems.
  3. Toro University Commercial Design Certification.
  4. Irrigation Association CLIA Certified Landscape Irrigation Auditor.
  5. Irrigation Association certified Landscape Irrigation Designer.
