Pump Technician
Irrigation Technical Services (ITS) is offering employment opportunities for irrigation service technicians and pump service technicians at various levels of expertise.
ITS is a service company specializing in irrigation pumping systems, controls and related sprinkler equipment. Skilled technicians troubleshoot, repair and maintain irrigation equipment; normally encountered on golf courses, planned communities, commercial and municipal sites.
Applicants have several career paths open to them including irrigation technicians, pump technicians, field supervisors and marketing representatives.
ITS is seeking motivated individuals possessing a positive and professional attitude.
The positions being offered require moderate physical activity, performing tasks somewhat strenuous in nature. Applicants are required to have a Florida Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record. Benefits, EEO, DFW
Pump Technician One
- Understand and identify, HOA switches, reset switches, loss of prime, low pressure and pump thermal devices.
- Understand basic electrical concepts, including electrical safety and pump control circuits.
- Fundamental pump selection/sizing criteria.
- Understanding of irrigation filter types and cleaning ,adjustment of filter screens/equipment
- Perform routine maintenance of inline centrifugal pumps, submersible pumps, and vertical turbine pump stations. Such maintenance shall include: voltage & current checks, pump performance analysis, motor winding inspection, lubricating motor bearings, changing oil in turbine motors, repacking pumps, checking and calibrating control valves.
Pump Tech 2
- Understand and identify, HOA switches, reset switches, loss of prime, low pressure and pump thermal devices.
- Perform basic troubleshooting on all three types of pumping systems.
- Repair and troubleshoot cla-valves, pressure tanks, etc
- Able to install and test grounding systems for pumps and irrigation controllers.
- With supervision and appropriate diagrams, be able to construct a custom control panel.
- Experience with flame cutting, welding.
- Assist craane operator with basic hand signals.
Pump Tech 3
- Thorough knowledge of maintenance and installation techniques for all types of irrigation related pumping stations.
- Able to design/specify, appropriate control panels, filtration systems, fertigation systems, safety components, and maintenance procedures.
- Good computer skills with the capability of developing pump operation programs.
